Our HBR of CNY members are also members of this wonderful community that we all call home. They are your neighbors; they maintain successful companies that employ local talent, they volunteer their time, energies and talents to local boards, civic organizations, and community groups. They know that Central New York is a great place to live, work, play and raise a family - and they are proud to help build, remodel and maintain the housing stock in our region.
Our HBR The HBR of CNY is an association of businesses engaged in the residential construction industry. Our members businesses' employ more than 26,000 Central New Yorkers. The dues our members invest in our local chapter also makes them a member of the new York State Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. These other two organizations are a tremendous resource to our local association and to each of our members.
Beyond all of the resources we bring to our members, we work on & produce:
The Home & Garden Show, serves as an impressive showcase for the industry. As one of the largest events of its kind in the Northeast, this show is an excellent opportunity to compare and shop for everything you need to enhance your home.
We produce The Parade of Homes. This event allows patrons to walk through fully decoated and landscaped houses, allowing them to gather information on products for their existing homes, or showing them the newest floor plans, designs and products in new home construction.
Our Another Pro marketing program aims to inform the public about the importance of doing their Homework to ensure they hire a qualified professional for home projects.Â
We collaborate with local educational institutions in Building Tomorrow's Workforce to develop the workforce of tomorrow for the residential construction industry.
We produce a weekly radio show - The Home Repair Workshop - hosted by our members. Listeners are encouraged to call in with their questions regarding home repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
We provide educational classes and seminars to our membership to ensure they are kept up to date on the latest codes, regulations and industry trends.
Our membership is actively involved in legislative matters on the local, state and national levels that impact the residential construction industry. We work in collaboration with like organizations to ensure the strongest voice of the industry is heard.
